Open Heritage Week 2019
Open Heritage Week 2019
The Open Heritage Week in Bangladesh aims to open up everyday heritage life places of the city – that often go unregarded and are under continuous threat of disappearance. The Heritage Week seeks to create awareness for heritage among the next generations, to commemorate past days and to re-imagine the country/city that once was.
In 2019, the project initiated by EUNIC Bangladesh brought government and non-government organisations together, in a view of creating a vision for a preserved and accessible cultural heritage and of initiating a regular Open Heritage Week.
Open Heritage Week 2019 opening ceremony included visiting heritage buildings, performance arts, exhibitions and much more. Following the inauguration several exhibitions and talks were conducted till 15 December 2019.
