Zahangir Alom’s third solo art exhibition, “Songs of Soul,” has commenced at La Galerie in the Alliance Française de Dhaka, located in Dhanmondi, the capital of Bangladesh. The opening ceremony of the exhibition took place on November 3 at the gallery, and it saw the presence of several distinguished guests.

Among the notable attendees at the inaugural ceremony were Anis A Khan, a member of the Board of Governors for the Society for Promotion of Bangladesh Art; Prof. Mohammad Eunus, the Chairman of the Art Bangla Foundation; Zareen Mahmud Hosein, Director of Shasha Denims Limited; and Prof. Dr. Malay Bala from the Faculty of Fine Art at Dhaka University.

Zahangir Alom is an artist who creates his art with a profound sense of emotion, drawing his inspiration from the depths of his soul. His artistic journey includes a significant period as a ‘Resident Artist’ at the Oriental Painting Studio, where he honed a distinctive watercolor wash technique. A defining aspect of his work is the exquisite and mature manner in which he blends colors. Some of his pieces lean towards the semi-abstract, showcasing his adeptness in arranging colors, which reflects his artistic sensibility and wealth of experience. The “Songs of Soul” exhibition offers art enthusiasts an opportunity to explore and appreciate Zahangir Alom’s unique and mature artistic style.
