🌍 Exhibition and Sharing Event: “16 Days of Activism: #NoExcuse. UNiTE to End Violence against Women”

     

Alliance Française de Dhaka, in partnership with Save the Children, invites you to an empowering exhibition and sharing event in support of the 16 Days of Activism campaign to end violence against women and girls (VAWG). For over a century, Save the Children has worked globally to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive, learn, and live free from violence. In alignment with this mission, this exhibition promotes solidarity with a global movement against VAWG through artivism, showcasing the perspectives, stories, and solutions envisioned by young girls.

     

✨ Concept: Artivism—merging art with activism—empowers young changemakers to channel their voices, share their stories, and advocate for social change. This exhibition highlights the artwork of young girls (aged 13–20) who are part of Save the Children’s programs in Bangladesh. Through their creations, these girls will amplify their call that there is “no excuse for any form of violence” and inspire awareness, advocacy, and action.

     

🔹 Event Features:

     

– Art Exhibition: Artworks by girls aged 13–20, centered on their vision for a world free from violence.

   

– Reflection Session: Young artists share their motivations and creative journeys.

   

– Audio-Visual Testimonies: Personal stories from the artists, providing a deeper understanding of their messages and hopes.

       

🖌 Modality: The program includes a specialized workshop conducted by a prominent artist in Dhaka, guiding the young participants in translating their ideas into impactful art. This collaborative process supports mentorship, fosters networks among young artists, and reinforces the use of artistic expression for social change.
