Storytelling:
A story of a city which lost its green scape. In this city there is no room left for a single jackfruit tree. Owner has to cut it down, to make way for the new city that is emerging. We gain space for people, but what we lose is human space. It’s a story of ever-changing Dhaka city and it’s appetite for destruction.
Following the showing of “A Jackfruit Tree for Sale”, the next film screening will be at 7:40pm for the film “Ghore Fera – HOMECOMING – ঘরে ফেরা”, with a discussion to follow featuring with filmmaker Kamrul Ahsan Lenin.
